There's something about the protoss unit, the immortal, is similar to a droid in starwars. It's kind of a rip-off. _________________ "When I thought I was alone, I found love..." |

Supposedly improved version, I must say. I like the concept of the stalker though. Cool. Although I must admit, I never played starcraft long enough. _________________ "When I thought I was alone, I found love..." |

Cool graphics!
Great designs!
Cool new units! (esp. the Stalkers, putting blink ability in Starcraft could create greater combat strategies!)

Oh boy, you're all now gonna keep your fingers crossed and pray that your graphics card/RAM can take the load.

knowing Blizzard, it'll take at least another two years.
Just enough time to buy that brand-spankin new PC.
When this hits the shelves, I'll buy a new PC that can house it, play BNet 24/7, and then after bwing glued to it for a week, die knowing I've lived my life to the fullest. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

Of course, just before you die, you'll overhear us (we'd be by your bedside in the hospital) talking about how SC3 is well on its way in development. _________________ A little surprising, really...

If your PC can run WarCraft III, I'm pretty sure it will be capable of running SC2 in low. Judging from the SC2 screenshots, it seems that they used the same 3d engine they used in WarCraft III. (Oh, sure, there'll be shadows/vertex shading/ per-pixel shading and all that jazz, kaya nga may LOW GRAPHICS mode di ba?)
Same engine, but perhaps you're going to need at least a 128mb nVidia GeForce FX. And a 1.5GHz processor (kahit di core2). And at least 512 ddr2 of ram. These specs are so totally not top-of-the-line di ba? But then, Blizzard has been known for making masa games.

People... this is great sh*t... very, very good sh*t.
In this video, you'll see the Marine (with some rocket power action!), the zealot (these things are... awesome... as all Protoss units tend to be), the Phase Prism, Immortal, and the Siege Tank (ah... the good ol' tank ).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_A3rUFWcxoI&mode=related&search=
The stalker in action, plus a big Protoss unit that emits lasers. Also contains a new way for Zerg to transport their units (ph33r!).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8FbxZZGnIM&NR=1
Protoss scouts, BATTLECRUISERS, Protoss Warper (a tough flyer that has a laser beam attack), and THE PROTOSS MOTHERSHIP . All the Mothership's abilities rocked! See this and die you b*tch!

It does not follow that if a pc can play Warcraft3, it can play Starcraft2. It may happen but the logic is flawed.
And looking back at the history of games of Blizzards:
Warcraft 2 did not use Warcraft 1 engine. Warcraft 3 did not use Warcraft 2 engine.
Diablo 2 did not use Diablo 1 engine.
Wacraft 3 did not use Starcraft engine.
Blizzard is known for PC-friendly games but Blizzard does not recycle game engines!
It all boils down to customer expectations. Blizzard may be known for taking its time but they know how to satisfy market.
No sir, Blizzard will not recycle game engines. They may recycle games but not engines. They know better than that.
And I expect that game to be very demanding. Even in low graphics mode. It is given that the graphics will be better than Warcraft3's and in Starcraft2 a player has higher supply thus resulting to more units this higher system demands. Starcraft2 may even support more players than WC3. The game at low graphics mode will be more demanding than Warcraft3 in high graphics mode.
In short, Starcraft 2 will be more demanding. |

So, Blizzard's latest word is that Starcraft 2:
1. Will NOT have LAN support. All multiplayer games will be via Battle.Net
2. Will be in 3 episodes - the first episode will have the Terran single player campaign as well as multiplayer functionality. The 2nd and 3rd will have the Zerg and Protoss campaign, respectively, and will have new units, maps, balancing, and other content.
What are your thoughts?

Terratron looks remarkably cute. Sorta like the Highlander battlemech, actually.
Peripheral note: I, Mengsk is an decent read. Generational story of Angus, Arcturus, and Valerian Mengsk. At times interesting, at times very cliche, but if you are a Starcraft fan, it's still worth a read. I'm sorta surprised at what elements were played up and what weren't.
I want to see how Valerian Mengsk is portrayed in SC2. He's coming out as an interesting character in I, Mengsk. Trying to get my hands on the Dark Templar trilogy for another portrayal of Valerian.
But Xel'Naga's bones, don't make him another Arthas, please...(not that Arthas isn't cool, but if you do too many fallen son villains, it gets cliche real quick). _________________ Words are the only bullets in truth's bandolier. And poets are the snipers.

How can you be a fallen son if you're father is Arcturus Mengsk? I think you'll have to start opening charities and actually be an honest person to be considered a fallen son.
Of course, you could always kill daddy Arcturus, but for what? To recreate the mengsk line in a younger persona? @_@ _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

Kerrigan has been known to show carnal interest in terrans, yes. But iirc, her evolved physique is only suitable for fellow infesteds (read into that as much as you want, but I won't elaborate); and so far her attempts at doubling the Overmind's process on her are in vain. Infested turn out to be mindless, which she takes no enjoyment from.
No wonder she's the self-professed queen b**** in the galaxy; everyone will be antsy after not getting any for that long. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

I'm not that of a fan of SC. I literally suck at this game since during the time that it was released I was focused more on Magic. But DANG!!! Kerrigan is sizzling hot. I'm just curious though on the creation of the lifesize Kerrigan. Was she a sculpture made by hand or did they made a cast out of the female model's body? If it was a cast, I'd be drooling right now with envy. _________________ Only by confronting your darkest fears can you find the light...
