Um, yeah... for sports enthusiasts, and stuff. I'll start!
NBA: well the big story is AI got traded to Denver... they're doing well I think, 'cept 'melo is out right now... they oughta be big when he gets back, though. still, ultimately, i'm pulling for the mavs, and maybe the cavs. :3
NFL: the Colts are kinda sliding... they started out so well too, 8-0 i think, and now they're, what, 11-3, 11-4? tsk. their usual postseason weakness is showing again. too bad, cuz i was kinda hoping this'd be Peyton Manning's year. guy deserves a championship i think, but it's always slipped through his fingers. anyways, i'm rooting for the bears, and perhaps the chargers.
F1: well it's not quite the same without Schumi, but oh well. looks like mercedes got lucky, getting fernando alonso to drive, and raikkonen is taking over where schumacher left off. the honda team looks pretty solid too. i doubt that renault could be as competetive as they were before, but we'll see. the 2007 season sure looks to be interesting...
um, so there... sports talk, and all that, hehe. feel free to bring up sports yet unmentioned. XD _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |

well... i'm into sports, but i'm sure we're not going to see eye-to-eye on this. since i watch mainly figure skating and artistic/rythmnic gymnastics competitions. and i've never watched any boxing matches (didn't watch pacquiao, too), i'm not much into basketball (unless it's UAAP cuz I support Ateneo), and not much into volleyball, unless I'm playing myself...
I do martial arts, though, but I don't watch. _________________ Expected, really.

yeah... things should pick up when the UAAP starts again, hehehe.
i do martial arts as well... used to attend arnis class pretty religiously, but not so much lately. but i don't watch martial arts shows either, hehehe. i'm more inclined to watching teh WWE, which really doesn't count. _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |

|
Speaking about sports, did anybody else catch the UFC special fight last weekend?
Tito "The Bad Boy"Ortiz VS. Chuck "The Iceman" Lidell for the UFC light heavyweight title!
Damned nasty fight, almost like it was made for the movies!
Round 1: Both MMArtists circle for a while, feinting and jabbing, Tito trying to setup for the grapple and takedown, while Lidell was content to strike. As the round winds down, the two engage in a flurry of blows. Tito tries and fails to clinch, and Chuck Lidell vicously hammers his sparring partner, pounding him again and again, and opening a nasty gash above Tito's eyes. Tito was then knocked to the ground by a left hook, but though Lidell swooped in for the finish on his prone opponent, Ortiz managed to hold off Lidell's finisher until the bell rang.
Victor: Lidell
Round 2: As the two square off again, it appeared that Tito had gotten his second wind, as he fiercely harried Chuck Lidell through the match, ducking, weaving, striking with punches and leg kicks. In a burst of energy, Tito closed in on his foe, actually managing to bring Chuck to the ground for a while, before he was thrown off. Still, the Iceman made the Huntington Beach Bad Boy pay for his aggressiveness, striking defensively each time Tito tried to clinch.
Victor: Ortiz
Round 3: Could Tito Ortiz continue to press his round two advantage? Not if Lidell could help it! Ortiz' aggressive opening was handily repulsed by the Iceman, and Lidell hammered away with each failed takedown. Finally, Lidell managed to decisively smack Tito to the ground. Pinned to the wall of the Octagon, Tito desperately sought a way back to his feet while trying to defend himself from the hail of blows that Lidell relentlessly hammered down. Though Tito appeared to be precariously able to defend himself, the ref rushed in to stop the fight.
Winner by ref stoppage and TKO: Chuck "The Iceman" Lidell! _________________ Words are the only bullets in truth's bandolier. And poets are the snipers.

oh yeah! i wanted to catch that fight, but forgot about it. grr... i don't watch the UFC much, really, but i saw the ad and thought it woulda been interesting. too bad i didn't catch it.
by the by, TNA Wrestling is majorly interesting now, what with Kurt Angle and Sting emerging among the ranks. I might have to watch it religiously from now on. _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |

I don't know about you guys, but currently i've been watching our team perform in volleyball and oh boy... our team sucks. Don't know what happened but last year's team was way decent than what we have now. _________________ Only by confronting your darkest fears can you find the light...

stephen jackson got traded to the warriors. they'd be doing okay but baron davis is out.
the bulls are sliding recently i think, even though they started out well enough. as far as i can tell big ben hasn't been playing as good as before.
the heat are still standing even without shaq thanks to the efforts of d wade.
the cavs are still doing well i think, and this season it seems lebron and wade will be gunning for the MVP title.
of course the mavs are still doing well, as are the spurs, the kings, and the pistons, to some extent. the jazz too.
other than that... haven't been watching too many games, no time. -___- _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |

I'm not much into sports except for wrestling (the real non-WWE, ECW or TNA kind), hockey, baseball, softball and soccer. _________________ let M = number of ninja and N = Ninjitsu Level, then N takes the general form of N = a/(bM)^c |

on the NBA front: currently Mavs and Suns are 1-2 respectively in the West, and in the East it's Pistons-Cavs. A bit early to say, but my money is on the Mavs this season. I predict they'll take on the Pistons in the finals and take the championship in 6. _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |

Wrestling? Now that's something I'd like to see. Anyways, it's kinda hard to plan such activities when all of us have wildly different schedules. Hopefully there could be enough for a full court 5 on 5 complete with bench people on each team. _________________ "I should mug people to this song. I'll get so many silver points." -Random youtuber

we could actually schedule it on a saturday since we could rent one of the residence hall in UP.
@boy_bakal: wrestling, quite complicated we need weight classes if so. _________________ Only by confronting your darkest fears can you find the light...

Cavaliers-Spurs in teh Finals XD
strangely enough... how do they do homecourt again? because if it's by seed, Cavs got it, but if it's by record Spurs do.
meh. prolly Spurs. how unexciting :/ _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |

Spurs will surely win this one...
I mean, come on, with their hardcore trio, Lebron will have a very hard time...
And who will he turn to help him?
Gibson? Ilgauskas? Hughes?
And the Spurs' bench is also a tough one...
Spurs for the Victory!!! |

Spurs is teh safe bet... with good reason. I think Spurs have this easy.
I take that back, the Spurs aren't boring; they're just fundamentally exciting. _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |
