So we're not [just] a bunch of bumpers:
D&D 5B v 0.1 is out for free download.
This is the catch-all place to talk about it, guys. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

I guess I'll start.
I love Bounded accuracy. No matter what your level is, here's the standard difficulty table:
Very Easy DC 5
Easy DC 10
Medium DC 15
Hard DC 20
Very Hard DC 25
Nearly Impossible DC 30
Very Hard tasks are those that only skilled characters have a chance of succeeding in. The best example is the rogue unlocking a vault - even then it's a challenge.
Nearly impossible is something only demigods / mythic creatures can do. Think Achilles throwing a javelin at that dude riding beside Hector. "An impossible throw."
Otherwise, DC's are within the realm of the d20 roll, no matter what the modifier is.
I think this is elegant. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

This is also worth noting:
The 5E Meteor Swarm deserves its spot as a 9th level spell.
Some say it should be renamed to, "summon charred wasteland on where a village used to be." _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

New comment: I'm not the biggest fan of iterative attacks, and it shows up on the 5B fighter. But at least it doesn't do a "stepdpwn attack bonus" pattern like it did with 3.5.
And I'm still not sure if the fighter can compete with wizards at the highest levels. On the other hand, Concentration seems to have brought wizards in line so maybe it isn't so bad. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

I hear the 5E Forcecage spell doesn't automatically allow Teleport out. You need to succeed on a saving throw to be able to do it.
