Yepyep. Even with vikings and thors they feel the need to make the turrets effective against mutas. _________________ solbergb on sorcerers:

They wanted to make terran anti-air better all around, IMO. I
thors finally get splash damage... But only for air. They should add some for the thor hammer too. Guns that huge should splash. XD XD _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

That would be too much I think. Range increase for the 250mms or splash would suffice. Then again, they already removed those from the original artillery strike..
Still waiting for an Archon buff. _________________

Terran land mechanical units get buffed and marauder nerfed. It seems that Blizzard is promoting terran players to use other kinds of style other than M&M&M.
More rebalancing for void ray, hydra gets nerfed and roach ... got nerfed. again. For the third time! _________________ solbergb on sorcerers:

Goodness, the Roach is getting the bad end of the nerf stick. >_<
Void ray balancing is intriguing. I have to admit, the former ray was pretty slow in destroying things.
These changelogs remind me I should update my beta version already lol. _________________

Starcraft release date clue?
And also, check out the numbers on the marine's cheek.
Quote: |
Now, zoom into his right cheek, where the hologram is displayed.
02-16-06-11
02-16 was the release date of the beta
06-11 is the release date of the game. This could be when it goes gold, or the street date.
First of all, if anyone can find the quote where the designers of this picture said something to the effect of "We took special care to design every little detail on the marine", that would make this theory even better.
# Beta was TECHNICALLY announced on the forums on the 17th, but you were able to download it on the 16th (1). This furthers the credibility of this picture.
# The game is apparently "within months of ship" (2).
# It's stated that "we're really at a three month period of time for the beta at this point" (3) |
ANd oh, the replay+commentary of the day.
PvT
"WHAT!?!?! there's a fleet beacon??"
"We are going to see a mothership rush"
"Azz is in good shape!"
2nd part
And the last but not the least...
BANANACRAFT

Major major power changes! Thor got the brunt of nerfage and corruptor is now, hopefuly, balanced in relative to other units.
Personally, thor is not that powerful to get the nerf.
I am still hoping that Thor ground attack will have splash damage too like the planetary fortress.

At least they're useful now. And to be fair the mutas weren't being controlled, while the phoenix will have to be micro'd.
I'm actually wondering why they got rid of the alpha version's "self-destruct" attack, though. >.> That made them feel more like the phoenixes of old. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

They're more useful distractions now. You can just set move waypoints and they'll still attack while you micro other units. _________________

On the thor size change, that makes thor less scarier but they are not that scary for starters. (the size change makes them more effective in combat though). _________________ solbergb on sorcerers:

I think it is better than stat nerf. With supply increase the player just needs to create more overlord more often. Its biggest impact is on early part of the game but the zerg will do just fine... _________________ solbergb on sorcerers:
