BDR has just replied to my e-mail. Yes, the package rates on their website is applicable for May 2010.
Chateau B Twin is at P5,300 per person, and this includes Countryside Tour and Daily Breakfast. (Fully air conditioned room with hot an cold shower, cable TV, refrigerator, mineral water dispenser)
- princessa/BJ
- Her Serenity/Xtian
- boy_bakal's missus/boy_bakal
~~
La Residenca Quintuple is at P4,200 per person, and this includes Countryside Tour and Daily Breakfast. ( Apartment type, fully air conditioned with hot and cold shower, cable TV, kitchen, refrigerator, mineral water dispenser. Fronting the pool.) <---- although I'm not sure if this is the best/cheapest choice.
- dark_axis
- dark_axis' missus
- mnightsilver
- Revan
- Eris
~~
Here's the thing with the Van Transfer from Tagbilaran port to the resort. It's P700 ONE WAY, so we need P1400.
Eris is going to take a different flight para makatipid. Zestair, she told me, so she'll be behind 1.5hr... To be fair to the entire group, she suggested na mauna na tayo, and meet up at the resort . So, yeah. call niya yung transfer na yun. but wait a sec... the price difference of the zestair will turn out the same as cebu pacific with the addition of transfer price, i think...
anyways, I'll talk to her...
Anyhoo, the van transfer is stated to be good for 4-8 people only, but it somehow doesn't make sense to hire a 2nd transfer. I'm sort of sure they'll allow us to somewhat squeeze 10 or 11 people in the van.
Let's say we'll transfer 11 people. P1400 divided by 11 = P128 additional for two-way transfer.
That is all. _________________ Expected, really.

If Eris arrives late won't she missing part of the tour just for a small difference in the fare? Go princessa talk some sense into her. She'll be missing a lot of moments in those one and a half hour difference. _________________ Only by confronting your darkest fears can you find the light...

No, tour is on the 2nd day. First day is the introdive.
Btw, the Introdive is P2500 at this resort. A bit more expensive than Alona Kew. But I think this one is more reputable.
(I mean, c'mon. It has "Divers" in the resort name... XD) _________________ Expected, really.

Alright.
Room assignations:
- princessa/BJ = Chateau B
- Her Serenity/ Xtian = Chateau A
- b_b's missus/b_b = ?
the rest at La Residencia Quintuple Room.
I don't think there's a downpayment, though. Although I'm not sure, yet. I'll be reserving the rooms once the rooms are final. _________________ Expected, really.

The group won't be widely split up given the difference in the accomodation grades, won't we?
Still, sounds good.
Are we finalizing this next Wed?
EDIT: We're going to have to bring a net-capable laptop and grab some wi-fi access, I guess, next jogging night. _________________ Words are the only bullets in truth's bandolier. And poets are the snipers.

Most resorts have free wi-fi these days, methinks.
But Revan meant to bring a wi-fi laptop next jogging day to finalize arrangements and e-mail BDR regarding rooms. _________________ Expected, really.

Yeah, I know that but I'm just saying just in case people had the idea of playing DnD. Insider means less books, right? ::nudge nudge wink wink:: _________________ Only by confronting your darkest fears can you find the light...

@d_a:
NWoD's easy enough to relearn. Imo, like the old Vampire, only less imba. And I think we'll all be squishy humans. We'll have to figure out who'll be Storyteller. And no, I am not hauling miniatures, markers, and battlemats all the way to Bohol.
On the other hand, I'm perfectly willing to haul along NWoD core, Hunter, Mage, and/or Werewolf. And a mess of d10s.
Also, yeah on the Wed arrangements. Having a laptop present means we can easily refer to the resort sites, and if we get it all finalized, we can send off the reservation email as well. _________________ Words are the only bullets in truth's bandolier. And poets are the snipers.

ROOMS ARE CONFIRMED!
I need to e-mail them one more before we arrive to confirm our reservation. I'm putting this here in case I forget, but I have it on my planner, so probably not.
Just in case.
Oh, and just to keep things simple, I'll return everyone who gave P1k to boy_bakal last time we met up. They're not requiring a downpayment as of now. _________________ Expected, really.

I've been reading reviews on this resort and every single one who rated this place badly only complained of the service.
Incidentally, Isis also said the service wasn't that good.
So, if we're all set to stay here... this is what we're gonna face.

I can deal with bad service. Then again, I can also deal with spending a bit more, this being a vacation and all. Might as well go all out

Hmm. Honestly, I don't really have a lot of problems paying extra for good service/facilities if everyone else is game. Budget, yeah, but not being much of a vacation guy, willing to go that extra distance on the moneys for better digs/service. XD Group's decision of course. _________________ Words are the only bullets in truth's bandolier. And poets are the snipers.

Hmm... tricky subject. Should we vote, then?
If you guys notice, I also asked for an option for BDR, and it's P3900 per person. Still cheaper, than what we initially got. BUT, no breakfast. Breakfast is an extra P150 (I'm just not sure if that's P150 per meal or P150 for breakfast both days). Even so, it'll still be cheaper than our original computation.
Service will most likely be better at BDR, though.
Here's the site, btw:
Dumaluan Beach Resort
==
Personally, I'm okay going with BDR. The main draw for me at Dumaluan is that it looks like it's in a quieter, more secluded spot than BDR.
Check this out:
http://www.calvinshub.com/2009/02/touring-bohol-part-2-alona-or-dumaluan-beach/
One of the cons of Alona is that the beach is not well-maintained. Bohol Divers Club is on Alona Beach.
Dumaluan is right next (or quite near) to Bohol Beach Club, which is the best resort in Panglao, so they say.
==
So, my final say? I'm good for Dumaluan, since the beach is more important to me than the rooms. _________________ Expected, really.
