Scales of War started out slow, but to me, it had one good gem. It was tied to the Red Hand of Doom adventure, which was featured back in a 3.5 Dungeon article.

As Scales of war closes off the Paragon level, it has tied into yet another super-adventure; namely, the Lich-Queen's beloved. And for those of us old enough to remember it, that super-adventure was the basis of the Pharagos campaign setting:

The Scales of War assumes that Vlaakith CLVII was killed 25 years ago by a band of adventurers. In the meantime, Zetch'r'r, the only githyanki allied with Vrahn, Alazlam, the Lord Regent, and the rest of that party has ruled Tunarath as its new emperor. But the Githyanki have been shattered by the War, and Zetch'r'r's hold is weak. In an act of desperation, he approached Tiamat and sought to improve the pact Gith made with Ephelomon, the Red Dragon consort.

Under the ancient terms of the pact, the Githyanki are not bound to Tiamat. They value their freedom, and no one- not the mind flayers, and not the dragon goddess- will rule the githyanki but the githyanki themselves. Tiamat demanded that the terms be changed; they will worship the dragon goddess, and in return the githyanki will receive the full support of Tiamat. Zetch'r'r reluctantly agrees.

In the meantime, the pact made by Ephelomon and the legendary Gith has been broken. Under the terms of the contract, Dispater (who acted as arbiter between Gith and Ephelomon) releases a bound soul.

Gith has returned.

This has real potential, and as such, I'm wondering if anyone is interested in a level 1-30 campaign set in Pharagos. Very Happy If there is enough interest, a monthly game may suffice. Perhaps set in the OGM?

I'm interested. I've always wanted to play as a githyanki or githzerai.

Cool! Githyanki psion has potential... And githzerai monk, too...

And of course, it's gonna be in Pharagos, so it'll be familiar. XD

Anyone else?

Wow. dark_axis really is excited. Shocked

I suppose I can run it this coming OGM; this Asturday, July 18, at SM Marikina. Is anyone else interested? I want to know if I can make it to 3players. I will then ready three more pregens, and we can start the level 1-30 slog.

To those who want to make characters, feel free to check out Characters of War. It's a free article, and it presents backgrounds for the Scales of War arc. Wink Feel free to choose one, too, dark_axis.

Darn. Can't make it to the OGM this Saturday, but I'd like to join in. Is it possible to jump in for the second adventure? Who else is gtg?

Tell you what, Rev. Hand me a character, and I'll turn into one of the pre-gens for Saturday. I think I'll do this once a month; I find that DMing is now in my blood, and I can't think straight without doing it at least that often. Laughing

At the moment I'm having a problem choosing one. Plus I'm not a 100% sure that I'd be there at the OGM. =/

I see.

I'm reverting to plan B, then. I'll be running an Eberron level 2 adventure tomorrow, complete with pregens. It's entitled, Kyber's Harvest. ^__^

Anyone still interested? I'm still thinking of running something more consistent with the OGM, and I'm thinking of either doing this, or using NWoD (as that is more walk-in friendly).

Anyone wanna marathon this during the December break? Consecutive days of DnD at my place - just need to buy-in 50php/day for food. Wink I'm thinking Dec 21, 22, 26, 27, 28, 29... Laughing Laughing Laughing

And d_a, you might be interested in trying out the new fixes to the monk. Very Happy

Hmm. Sounds quite interesting. I'll need to check my holiday sked to see what days are obligatory and what days are free.

Hmm. If DAxis is taking a striker slot...*digs through stuff for a good 1-30 build* Will see.

27 may be a sunday game day though.

Well, we're not yet sure about him taking a striker slot, or if he will be joining at all. He's employed again now, after all.

But we'll see. Right now I'm gauging interest. After that, we can worry about the intricacies of shceduling. Razz

I'd like to try out a leader role. Maybe a bard or a warlord? I think I'm free on some of those days. I'm still unsure though since our office hasn't released the schedule for this month. Are any of those days declared holidays??

Unfortunately I think I'll be out of town on some of those days, I have this plan with my highschool friends, which I really don't know if it will push through. Laughing

I'll just voice out in case I'd join here instead. Very Happy
