Since it's made by Bay, the pacing would still be off. If you only want "AUTOBOTS SMASH!!" this might deliver. I just hope it gets more coherent the second time around.

As long as vehicles turn into robots, smash each other, and you don't see too much humans, I'm going to be happy.

As long as I hear Peter Cullen's voice and I get a that classic, classic transforming sound... I'll be happy. I geekgasmed all through the 9 times I watched the first one on the big screen.

Pacing? What pacing? As long as I see robots go "blam" then "kaboom." Then I'm happy.

WATCHED IT!

Mixed reviews all around, but for me?

Hilariously awesome!!!

Just a bit draggy with all the human acting and emoting and bromancing and blah-blah-blah.. but I got my fix of robot interaction and fight scenes and transformation scenes and whatnot.

Buuuut, not something I'd watch 9 times like I did the first movie. XD

Also watched it!

I came in the cinema expecting giant robots and explosions Michael Bay style and boom! I wasn't disappointed! Not as funny as the first one but still funny (I couldn't stop laughing when bumblebee cried)

As a bonus, I like the GI Joe trailer.

Watched it too. I walked out of the movie very satisfied. I thought the main guy was going to be transferred into bumblebee's body just like the main story but who cares anyway. Very Happy

I wanted to see big robots and explosions and I do not care about plot holes. Thinking about them does not give your mind any good.

Anyway, to answer your questions.

I'm not here to defend bay or anything I just want to share some of my transformers geekiness.

1) No clue at all or it's America go figure. Laughing

2) Though Sam and Mikaela had the other piece of the shard they didn't have access to Optimus' body after he died and Sam run away right after the big guy bit the dust. Plus, remember the chopper bringing the body to the military base, how the hell will a civilian like Sam go barging in a military base?

3) Yes, sonars detects things by using the sound waves that bounce back from objects. Back in college, I was one of the fortunate few in our course to be able to use one of this instruments, it even detects fish.

4) Lenses only have a certain limit to it's magnification. Assuming that a transformer only has a set of lens that can see up to a certain degree a pair of additional lenses is needed to increase the power of its magnification.

5) The guy who made this faq might have no history of transformers. Transformers. In the canon version of transformers: headmasters there are transformers who can disguise themselves as humans. Plus, weight can be distributed since transformer anatomy does not follow the laws of physics. Well regarding the bee's voice box is actually not canon at all. Bee never lost his voice in any animated or comic book of the transformers.

6) The term all is quite ambiguous. There were primes who traveled the galaxy in search of energon and there primes who stayed in galvatron battling for it. Apparently the all that was mentioned who sacrificed themselves were the one who were traveling with the fallen. Transformers do reproduce but they do it by creating sparks. Why didn't they gang up on the fallen before, because if they could then they would have done it. Its possible that the fallen is the alpha prime in the group. On the jetfire dying part, it's actually a signature of the transformers franchise there was always someone to die in every series that they always pass on their"powers" to Optimus. What make Optimus special is he's the Garrest one of them all.

7) CG, special effects, the works, come on its hollywood they even create sets as big as a town.

8 ) The guy who made the faq is probably a tolkien fan. WTH? Does he really want to watch the whole trip? lol. How the hell did they shoot a moving target......hmmmmm..... Well it did took a while for them to shoot, did they? Plus if I was a captain and someone called me out of nowhere I'd probably have it checked out by eyes in the sky first. It could be that Turturro had a great mind that he happened to compute the velocity of the railgun's projectile against the speed pf the climb of the devastor and he was able to give the exact longitude and latitude of the point where the railgun's projectile and the devastator would intersect.

9) Who knows what happens in heaven? lol.

10) It's not a bandage, it is the sock just wrapped around his hands. Next, his roommate is a big chicken. The fallen is LE so maybe he was plotting. Next is how are we supposed to know that there is no such satellite that can do such a thing. Uhmmm.... who doesn't want to hump Mikaela's leg. The thong is a transition point. The construction machines fighting the army are different from the devastator. Actually human weapons can do damage to the transformers unfortunately the weapons that the army carry around in such missions don't, they are there to fulfill their end of the bargain in the autobots-human agreement. Think, egypt back in the old days against a huge colossal piece of metal, they probably didn't have the means to destroy it and they probably were scared that if they destroy it it might actually explode or something. The matrix resizes to the one who was worthy of using it. Mikaela's pant are always clean? I don't think so.

The matrix resizes to the one who was worthy of using it. Mikaela's pant are always clean? I don't think so.

My thoughts regarding the original questions and your answers.

1. Retcon powah!
2. They could go to the military facility and let Bumblebee transform and do the "talking". I'm quite sure they would meet the other autobots and see the body.
3. Maybe the doc was hiding that's why he could not be detected the first time. And I agree, sonars can detect fish (bat sonar detects insects).
4. I agree with you.
5. Maybe the girl is made up light-weight material. And the assumption that bumblebee knew something wrong about here is wrong. It is possible that bumblebee didn't know that she was a robot.
6. a. Transformers have kids? I'm not sure about this. But it looks like they age.
b. descendant? not sure...
c. why they did not gang up? Well.. the mere fact that those space-faring robots did not scatter and hide the McGuffin somewhere on the galaxy implies that their CPU could running 386. 486 if they press turbo.
d. What makes optimus special? duh... he's the film's protagonist.
7. yep
8. a. I do not think it was couple of hours. Whole day probably.
b. They had cameras that could zoom. And devastator might be moving but it was moving in a single place; top of pyramid.
c and the former agent's bluff check is high.
9. too much pot brownies.
10. a. Sam's bandage: real life accident.
b to etc...: yadah yadah

And still... no one mentioned how the satellite was tentawaped by Soundwave Laughing

@Xtian: Well sorry for the bee's fans but bee has always had the lowest IQ in the autobots plus adding him with a guy who's actually overflowing with hormones the probability of that happening is very low.

I do have to make some alterations though read about the accident on some other site unfortunately I have a low check on showbiz guys. But they tried to incorporate it in the film though unfortunately there were scenes that he had the bandage and there were also some that he didn't.
