I am intrigued at how they decided to reprint the Planeswalkers in a core set. it makes them even more accessible.
I like it. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

I actually like the put into battlefield phrase. It's more evocative. Now all they have to do is return the summon spells and I might be enticed to go back and be active. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

Hopefully, this one is just a rumor or it'll increase the number of already crap rares in m10. But imagine the uses with Doubling Cube. _________________ I shut my eyes in order to see. |

It looks like Wizards wants to draw in more D&D players to Magic with the fantasy fluff. Off the top of my head, in m10 they're changing:
(1) Play a spell to Cast a spell
(2) RFG to Exile
(3) into Play to into the Battlefield, though IMO with Play changed to Cast there's no more confusion with the 'in play' zone. I imagine people quitting Magic to avoid the humiliating feeling of saying 'I summon Ant Queen to the battlefield" in a public place. _________________ I shut my eyes in order to see. |

No idea. What's your buying price anyway? If it's a bit decent, try posting at the NG forums. Lots of type 1 traders there at least. _________________ I shut my eyes in order to see. |

I don't get it. You're playing MtG in public. Probably on the floor. And you're afraid of losing cool mojo because you're gonna get caught summoning a creature into the battlefield?
If you're playing TCG's in public, you must be really thick-skinned to begin with is what I'm saying.
Besides, it still doesn't beat bowing down and saying "The table is yours". (t-b-c is going to hurt me now... ) _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

I don't get the point of being ashamed due to some changes in wording. By playing the game in public you're already waving your MTG geek flag having some changes in wording won't actually have any relevant effect in your coolness status. It still doesn't beat having to shout LEEROY JENKINS!!!! just to be able to use his ability. _________________ Only by confronting your darkest fears can you find the light...

I remember when "Summon X" was just changed to "Creature - Types". I imagine people were outraged then, as now. But look where we are.
Of course, the latter is much neater than the former, which I really can't say of PitB as opposed to CiP. So many cards will have very peculiar wording now... well, none come to mind at the moment, but you'll see!
But, in the end, we can always just shrug it off. It's really such a minor thing, considering. _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |

It just feels... weird. It makes Magic sound like Yu-Gi-Oh... like a child's card game or something. _________________ I shut my eyes in order to see. |

The new dual land. Not as color-enabling as the painlands, but I like it. But couldn't they have made it an uncommon like they said they would? T_T _________________ I shut my eyes in order to see. |

You don't bow... you gesture with your hand!
And being extremely polite is kind of necessary in a game where actual weapons is sometimes offered as tourney prizes. XD
It's also part of our "Good Player Etiquette" code, for which TOs can kick you out if you violate them, to be both polite, AND have bathed within the week. At least our conventions don't stink! _________________ Currently Running: NOTHING

RE: Table etiquette and weapons, here's a classic Robert E Howard line from one of his Conan stories:
Robert E Howard wrote: | "Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing."
-Robert E. Howard, The Tower of the Elephant, from The Coming of Conan the Cimmerian, Del Rey 2005 |
M10 sounds...interesting. In the way that the transition from D&D 3 to D&D 4 was interesting, I hope. _________________ Words are the only bullets in truth's bandolier. And poets are the snipers.

Undead Slayer
Wow. Can't get more basic that that.
Vampire Nocturnus, on the other hand, seems rather complex for a base set, it is mythic though, that's where the complexity belongs anyway.
Needs cartoon with children playing in a over-the-top manner, then finding out that they are actually planeswalkers who can summon real stuff, and their help is needed to repel Yawgmoth or something...(just like duel masters, gah...) _________________

Wizards is REALLY desperate now. First they nab some terms from L5R, now they're copying Twilight... Which makes Zendikar all the more scarier -- think Pirate Dinosaur Vampires that sparkles. _________________ I shut my eyes in order to see. |

That's not Twilight they're stealing from.
Buffy stakes Edward

Gud am people. I was kinda bored when I saw the spoilers this moment...just 50/249.
Then again, with a simple refresh button, it changed to 53...
And the new additions are...
1) Snapping Drake (yup the 3U 3/2 Flying)
2) The Rack (Yup, the same "The Rack" that would be pain in the ass for next 2 years)
and finally
3) Lightning Bolt (R, 3 damage to target creature or player. And yes, it is instant.)
All were reprints. More emphasis on numbers 2 and 3 please. >.< _________________

Well, at first, I was in doubt too that Lightning Bolt would see print...
But since MTG previewed this, I was convinced ~~,. Love the flavor text (2nd one that I loved, next to Last Word's flavor text.)
And for Green minded players there, Giant Growth and Overrun would see print in M10 as well.
(GGrowth was previewed in Arcana while Overrun was posted in the MTG's Facebook.) ~~, _________________
