Kruzko is an orc, not a human. It doesn't matter if his father, the chiefain, had strange taste with his women; he never knew his mother, who has followed the gods to their grave long before Kruzko could stand on his feet. So he grew up in the company of orcs, never meeting men except in raids. And while he was not the strongest boy around, Kruzko is no wuss either. Kruzko held his own on fistfights.

Kruzko longed to join raiding, but his brother (who had ogre blood - Kruzko told you his father had strange taste) made fun of him and his human blood and gave him drums to play instead of a club to crack skulls with. Kruzko remembers that time, when he first beat the drums in frustration at not killing as the other orcs did. Kruzko's desire to kill, maim, and burn like kis friends. And that was when Kruzko first felt the arcane power coursing through his beat. His desire for destruction flowed onto his orc friends, and they raided better that day.

They say raid went better because of Kruzko. And that night, many orc women admired the sexy orc. Kruzko danced with each of them in celebration, but it was then that Kruzko knew: Orc women are attractively strong, but the slaves taken from the raid, they were pretty, too. Kruzko sees what his father saw, but unlike his father, who forces women, Kruzko, the sexiest orc, will be willingly admired by all women.

Kruzko's brother treated him better since the successful raid. He says that when father is dead he will rule as chieftain, and Kruzko will replace the tribe shaman. Brothers controlling whole tribe. Kruzko smelled something fishy, but he went along with his brother's idea of challenging the shaman for his post. He said Kruzko's spells will defeat his evocations.

But the shaman was not a total loser. Far from it, in fact. When the time came for Kruzko and the white-haired shaman to fight, Kruzko was whipped like a child playing with drums. And in a way, Kruzko was. The shaman prepared to deliver the killing hex, when the chieftain, Kruzko's father, threw a handaxe that split the shaman's skull in two.

The shame. Kruzko, a full-grown orc, saved by his father. It was a dishonor.

And Kruzko's brother thought so, too. He scolded father for moving in on a challenge, and in turn, the chieftain struck at being scolded by his own son. This was the last thing Kruzko remembers before succumbing to the hexes that the dead shaman has inflicted upon him.

Kruzko should not have slept. He woke up and saw the tribe in ruins. Almost everyone was dead or dying. Desperate, he looked for his father or brother. One of them would be chieftain.

Both were dead. Killed by each other's hands. Did the tribe kill each other in the conflict? Kruzko struggled to find a live orc. There were five; severely wounded, but curable. Kruzko did his best, and he was able to save three. The other two succumbed to the wounds.

From the three he learned the truth; father and son were in the middle of their challenge when humans, under the lead of one named Conner, came to avenge their raid. Rather than stop fighting to order the tribe, they continued on, and the tribe lost the battle with the capable adventurers without their direction. The two killed each other even as the whole tribe was being slaughtered.

Kruzko finds himself as a chieftain to a tribe of four. It did not make sense. So Kruzko instructed the remaining three to look for the neighboring orc tribe, and continue being orcs there.

As for Kruzko, he knows what must be done. He will find and kill this Conner. And maybe meet a few pretty women on the way. Keuzko straps his drums on his belt and picks up a dead orc's great club.

Kruzko's Proposed House Rules:
1) Enchanted Drums - his drums (tom-toms) will eventually be enchanted much like other implements. Essentially, my request is to allow wand enchantments to be enchanted on/transferred to the tom-toms. Alternatively, a custom ritual that transfers a wand enchantment specifically to the tom-toms. This is in response to the lack of percussion wondrous items in PHB2.
2) Drums strapped to the belt - Kruzko's drums are strapped to his belt, and he doesn't need to draw them as a minor action to use them. He does, however, need both hands free to play; meaning he has to stash or drop whatever he's holding first.
3) Twin drums - each drum costs 3gp, but these drums work as a pair. Together, they count as a 6gp focus for the purposes of bard rituals.

I finally get to make my pet character. XD XD XD

Unlike his full-blooded orc kin, Kruzko is not beefed up and stocky. He lacks the strength of many orcs, but do not be misguided; he is strong enough to hold his own in a fistfight.

He is lean and well-chiseled; and when he flexes his healthy body and reveals his perfect abs, women regardless of race see Kruzko in a way that they never thought they'll ever see in someone of orc blood...

This orc is corset-droppingly sexy.


I'm not quite sure about his encounter power yet, though. I think I like the Shout of Triumph better. Still, I want him to have the opportunity to club someone and make it hurt, too. XD

[TECH] Tom-tom rules approved. Note that, with the exception of the aforementioned proposed house rules (such as requiring two free hands, being treated as a 6 gp bard focus, etc.), the tom-toms function exactly like a wand should.
