I was wondering how the draw mechanics work. Say, if you had a card like font of mythos in play is it one draw step with extra cards or is each draw separate? _________________ All hail the Bongolian Ultraprawn! |

You only have one draw step. What Font of Mythos does is force you to draw two extra cards at the beginning of that draw step. Howling Mine functions similarly.
EDIT: Ok, just so we're very very clear here:
Phases:
1) Beginning
-Untap
-Upkeep
-Draw
2) Pre-combat Main
3) Combat
-Declare Attackers
-Declare Blockers
-(First Strike Damage)
-Combat Damage
4) Post-combat Main
5) End Turn/Cleanup (in that order)
Hope that helps. _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |

So wordings like the next time you would draw a card do x instead means the whole three draw if you say use the ability during the draw step? _________________ All hail the Bongolian Ultraprawn! |

Assuming you would draw three cards... If the wording is "the next time you would draw a card, do X instead" then X triggers only once. You do X then draw two cards. If the wording is "if you would draw a card, do Y instead", then Y trigger three times. _________________

@AAS: AK is correct. However, if you like, feel free to post the actual card text you were curious about. We'll determine what the effect will be. _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |

Words of Worship
Font of Mythos
It would trigger only once per activation. You need to pay 1 mana for each card you draw that you want to convert to gain 5 life. _________________

This is correct, yes.
It would also be extended legal, and since you're going that route, might I recommend Martyr of Sands?
Ah, I miss UW... err, "not manly" deck _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |

Oh, so it's good. I wonder if someone could pull off spiteful visions with that card ~~, Sort of Draw and Die deck ~~
@buddy: Yah, good thing Martyr of Sands took a backseat from Standard play. I cursed your "unmanly" deck a couple of times. And oh darn that Purity >.< _________________

^I've tried it; once dubbed the 'uition-vision project (so called since it combined Forced Fruition with Spiteful Visions). It turned out really quite unremarkable, actually; as I understand it, white is the better pairing for Spiteful Visions, as one can set Runed Halo to Spiteful Visions, thus negating the life-loss. "Turbo-Smog," if you will, is an interesting archetype, actually, though I'd never actually use it in a serious tourney or some such. From experience, the archetype simply folds to Fae and/or 5-cc, though I imagine the RW Lark matchup should be favorable, so it's worth considering. _________________ And I'm still, still longing.
