UAAP news..
bulok ang UP Seniors... Consequence: Joe Lipa is on the hot seat, and is about to be fired... pero hindi lang si coach ang may problema... |

that's bull. why place the blame on coach Joe? the team lost a lot of good guys this semester, and UP's never had much recruiting power anyway. besides which, all the other teams have gotten a lot better.
honestly i don't know why people are so quick to blame the coaches. their jobs can't be easy, for sure. if everyone expected a 0-14 season anyway, i don't get why they suddenly place the coach on the hot seat. _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |

Joe Lipa is already a legend in Philippine Basketball. He is in the same league as Baby Dalupan, legendary coaches of old...
With his experiences, he had improved teams and players. It's not the coach' fault, maybe his supporting staff did not make their work so efficient, or the players did not have the heart and passion. I don't blame coach Lipa. Sometimes, in the chain of command, the highest person is to be blamed. But among his ranks, kung hindi naman epektibo ang kanyang mga alalay, then coach Lipa must be acquitted. |

I really think Coach Joe shouldn't be blamed for what happened to UP this season. The players are just inept and mostly inexperienced, in Tagalog: "yung mga dating bangko." I think Coach Joe should be given another chance, but I've not been counting on UP to suddenly have a boost this season, or that is, I never did!
He's a good coach, he's just unlucky to have such jerky players... _________________ Master Wayne, you've just been PWNED! |

hey guys, what happened to the sportsfest thingy... i kinda like the idea...
if you guys are interested in wrestling/combat, i have a proposal...
pure grappling tournament - no throws, no strikes, no takedowns. guys start seated back to back, they turn to their right at the count of three and try to make each other submit. if a player gets both of his knees his ass off the mat in a prone position, the hold is broken and that player gets a warning. three warnings, and that player loses. no pins for this one guys, just plain submission. i can draw up weight classes, cause i know there is a disparity between, say, emman and erwin.
btw, i heard the UP coach is indeed getting sacked. _________________ By the Power of Truth, I, while living, have conquered the Universe!

Not bad for a UFC starter. With more training and experience, he'd be a real killer (literally and figuratively). I'd expect a pretty flashy career from him. _________________ A little surprising, really...

Is the playoffs, boys. WIN OR GO HOME.
More or less a lock at this point. I'll be watching NOH vs. DAL since I'm Hornets all the way (CP3 MVP!) but that SAS vs. PHX series looks to be pretty good too. _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Still cold... so cold. |

Boston lost Game 5... as expected... Game 4 took too much out of them. I'm betting that Boston will finish the series at Game 7, 4-3. _________________ Master Wayne, you've just been PWNED! |
