The Nightmare Chieftain
A Bonethrall game
Type RL Horror
Character Levels 1-3
Players Minimum 4, Maximum 7 (see below)
Campaign Synopsis
Unremarkable in most ways, a settlement of humans and halflings lies a few scores from Mudtown. Like its neighbor, small bungalows made from the hard, sticky clay that comprises much of the barren world dot the place. And yet it is distinct from Mudtown because the settlement itself surround what seems to be a few acres of woodland.
Thin but tall trees with little leaves seem as claws reaching for the inconstant daystar. Small patches of grass seem to rustle with intelligence, speaking epithets at those foolish enough to enter the forbidden wood.
Folklore around the place tells of an ancient pact between the settlers' ancestors and the woodland spirit. They can live around the wood, but never venture within.
In return for the "protective shell" that the humans will provide, the diwata promises fruits and herbs whenever Sinaghari first stares away the dark. The place is thus called Barriertwig.
But as of late, the settlers have been molested by a tribe of pillaging orcs. From out of nowhere they come, looting and killing in poor Barriertwig, and then, just as sudden, the monsters retreat back to the woods, where the townsfolk are forbidden by ancient tradition to venture in.
Barriertwig is in need of heroes.
Specifics
-As you are aware, I do not do charity-work anymore (hey, a dude's gotta earn his salt). As I expect each game day to last 4 hours, the discounted rate amounts to 400 (200 for the first two hours, 100 for every hour after). Also, for every player in excess of five, I need to charge an extra 50 bucks. Check out bj's normal rates here. In any case, dark_axis has offered to shoulder most, but not all, the expenses. d_a can clarify, if he wishes.
-Game schedule is Tue-Wed, starting Nov11. I want to start by Nov4, but I want you guys to pan out your 2nd sem schedule first. It is expected to last until Nov26, and you will hopefully reach level4 if you started at 1st level. Game schedule is 1-5pm (and please, don't be late. It's Christmas Season, so it gets dark earlier.)
-The game is going to be difficult; there will be occasions when you will have a hard time getting an extended rest. So you guys should probably not go nova. To offset this, I will offer bigger than normal loot. High risk, high reward. 
-I do not much care for party composition. You could be all strikers for all I care. That's your gambit, though.

Most probably I would be willing to shed out 200php per game which leaves the other players with 50php per head assuming that there are only 5 people in the game.
Most probably, I would be using Cyrille here since there are no news yet regarding Q's campaign.

Okay, as it turns out, Tuesday-Wednesday may be a bit too ambitious. I'm not disregarding the idea yet, but to make sure things go without a glitch, we'll have our first game day on Tuesday, November 4. (That's tomorrow in case you guys didn't notice)
So, if TW won't work, we'll stick to Tuesdays.
I still prefer TW, though.

Hmm. Cool. If no one objects, the wizard gets them all.
Remember that the scrolls still need components to use, and that under no circumstances can you copy it into your Ritual Book. One shot is one shot.
Also, any feedback on the game so far would be nice. I'm preparing earlier now so that the game moves faster.

The game should actually have the right tempo providing that we don't get outside comments or intervention from NPM which mean non-player members. It kinda ruins the game hearing someone blurting out things which has no connection to the game whatsoever.

ANNOUNCEMENT
I have no work this coming Tuesday, so we can actually go for an extended game, if you guys are up to it. (I suggest you review my fees, though)
We'll also need a location, as UP won't be ideal after 5pm.
If we go for an extended game, we can end Nightmare Chieftain this week, and start a new arc. Most probably you'll get to level 4 (or 5 for erwin) too.
