This is a thread dedicated to my current players from the campaign "Cry of the Dragonheart". There are currently seven players, so it's a little headache (more players means more characters that RP, taking a lot of time, and bores some players that is left out).

However, I do not want to restrict the thread to my players. Post any of your Eberron builds, or post any of your suggested builds for the players below.

For a start, here's a breakdown of the players:

Coronel as Kline, the Eldeen Druid
Erwin as David, the Sharn Rogue
Jaykie as Pitina, the Aundairian Gnome Illusionist of House Sivis
Phil as Thorn, Karrnathi military Elven Fighter
Christian as Maku, Kobold Sorcerer sent by the Chamber (an organization of young adult dragons)
Myke as Frezno, Karrnathi Cleric of Dol Arrah
Emman as Xan, another Karrnathi Warlade (I think)

Feel free to post your character hooks and background. Additionally, add your target prestige classes. For others who are not in my campaign, feel free to post your Eberron build here.

By the way, I did say that I'm allowing character flaws, right? Post them here so we can discuss them.

*For those of you who think that I put too much RP for my first game, well sorry to disappoint you. It is necessary, especially since it is called an RPG (Role Playing Game). It's just that as opposed to other campaigns, I don't like heavy RPing, so I tend to give more encounters than talks*

I'm pretty sure Emman isn't playing a warblade in this one, seeing that we've banned him from taking B9S. Except I'm not sure what he's playing, either.

Anyway, Pitina is a little... well, weird. She has a lot of quirks, and I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I think I RP'ed that aspect of her character okay. She can be snobbish sometimes, and she's a fairly enterprising character (given the sheer amount of gp I gained from casting Identify, hehehe), but ultimately she's got a good heart and she'll stand by her comrades when it comes right down to it. Her long-standing friendship with Maku the Kobold should be proof enough of that. Smile

She is interested in this Devrin Raptorclaw fellow. She's been around illusions pretty much her entire life, and although she uses illusions in combat, she can't bring herself to imagine anyone using illusions to cause so much suffering. She is interested in this man, and wants to find out more about him. This is why she agreed immediately to find him, and defeat him if need be.

Basically, the first sentence says it all: Devrin Raptorclaw interests her. Any info she could find about him would be appreciated, and she's willing to go to great lengths to track him down.

It's Fresno, like the city. Very Happy
I can conjecture a bit of character into Fres. He likes his ale hard and his battles well fought. He's a good friend but once you cross him once, you gain his emnity until he thinks that it's been paid back in full.

I'll be keeping track of what is what is in my spell list, it's still taking a little getting used to. Since, as of this time, Fres has limited spell slots I am having a problem preparing for spells to be used for the party's sake.

Kleine Hyral has enjoyed a simple life in the Eldeen reaches. The everyday training and meditation was alright, and his mentor was skilled. He was quick at learning the basics of channeling nature.

He is an open-minded fellow, and wonders why so little of his people venture out beyond the forests. He hears little of the outside world, except for some stories, of how different it is from inside. His meditation has brought him to wonder, how does the world live? What is nature beyond these trees?

He resolved to answer these mysteries himself. One night, he sneaked out of the forest, and went on his way towards the future.

The future is pretty vast, as he finds out he has nowhere to go. He thinks of turning back, but decides to go forward. A few days have passed, he still wasn't sure where to go. On his wanderings, he encounters a small group of wild dogs, attacking a traveler. Using his talents, he was able to disperse the pack without further harm. He didn't need time to ask, he wanted to put his training to use. Channeling divine energy, he mends the woman's wounds. Being thankful, the woman insisted on giving him some gold. Alexis refused, as it wasn't worth the trouble. They talked, and he learned that the woman was also trying to find something.

They kept each other company for a while, and when she asked where he was going, he said he didn't know. The woman smiled, then points and tells him to go there. He decides to follow the woman's idvise, and headed off in that direction.

He ended up in a city-like place. He walked in, and the sound of festivities got closer to his ears. As he walked towards the sounds, he was greeted by a man dressed in what he can tell is holy garb. The man attempts to start a conversation, but a commotion stopped him short...

to be continued?!

Basically, Kleine is pretty good hearted. A bit shy. Ready to help out random people in trouble. A noob to this world stuff, years among trees and forest critters don't really help a guy in knowing what's going on in the world.

Private Thorn Drumheller

Thorn Drumheller is a child of the Last War. Born on the very day that King Jorat, last ruler of Galifar, died, Thorn was born at the dawn of the defining conflict that would shape the history of Khorvaire for a full century.

A scion of the Drumhellers, a minor Karnathi elven clan, Thorn would behold the gradual slide of Karnath from greatness to desperation, from the dark days of the opening of the war to the terrible rise of the Blood of Vol and Karrnath's undead legions. The Drumhellers, though initially a peaceful clan, could not help but be drawn into the conflict. By the time Thorn had grown to manhood, he had already lost at least three uncles and a sister to the war: Aidan Drumheller, cavalry commander, Kiriel Drumheller, scout, Pyras Drumheller, warmage, and Ilyana Drumheller, paladin of Dol Arrah. Embittered by his losses, Thorn joined the military, training in the renowned Rekkenmark Academy, where his skills as a warrior were honed to a razor's edge. As graduation neared, Thorn eagerly awaited deployment to the front lines.

Thorn took to the war like one born into it, as in a sense, he was. Ever onward, the specters of the dead urged on Thorn into battle after battle, a mad light burning in his eyes. Still, the true ferocity of battle began to take its toll on the the young elf.

The Treaty of Thronehold came as a shock to many of Karrnath's warlords, but it was a welcome respite for many exhausted after four generations of warfare. For Thorn, peace would be a mixed blessing. After training and preparing for the war his entire life, a few mere years after graduating from Rekkenmark, Thorn found that the one constant of his life, The Last War, was suddenly gone. Inside him, he cannot help but think that he could have done more, joined the army at a younger age, fought fiercer. He does not want to admit it, but he blames himself for not being able to properly avenge the deaths of his family, and his sister, Ilyana. At the same time, Kaius' Peace was a welcome respite from the horrors of the few years that Thorn stood on the fiercest fronts of the line, first at the Thrane front, and later, at Cyre (Thorn would be among the few survivors of the Karrnathi expeditionary force in Cyre on the Day of Mourning). All this has left him with mixed feelings concerning King Kaius III, a man who's cunning, genius, and diplomatic skills he cannot help but admire, even as part of him despises the new peace that lies over Khorvaire.
