So the new Spider-man will not star Tobey Maguire but Andrew Garfield. I am not sure how it will be different from the previous incarnation of Spider-Man but here is how the new costume looks like.



Looks grittier than the Tobey's in my opinion.

I hope I'm wrong, but iirc there's an issue with Marvel being unable to produce Spiderman or X-Men movies. They leased out the rights to make movies featuring those characters before they took an active interest in making it themselves, and said license hasn't expired yet.

I remember hearing something about marvel licensing their library to Microsoft a while back. Just Xbox 360 games and MMO's if I remember correctly
