I do not think we can game on January 5. I have things to take care of. It has to be January 12 at least.

Players:

*The game proceeds tomorrow, January 6, with one major change: juaberman will pull out Ryan Nyar, and DM the rest of the 5-party crew. You guys treat him right.

Enjoy, guys. And tell me how it turns out. As for me, I start working tomorrow...

*sigh*

We commiserate with your recent loss of freedom and hope that the bucks are good. You've shown me what that work is, and I know it'd drive me nuts, so the cash had better be worth it. Razz

All hail the new DM-guy juaberman!

Well, it really depends on juaberman, but as it's the end of arc1, I won't be surprised if one or two of you bite the dust...

I'm actually a bit concerned. I haven't heard from Juaberman yet. I'm not sure if he got the mail files...

Oh...Oh... that's seems to be a problem. Maybe he's too busy setting up for the finale of Arc1 later. Hope everything goes well and nobody bites the dust. Very Happy

It came out reasonably well...though I still believe that damned zerth/whatever the heck that thing was was too damned strong...Even with a successful Lead the Attack, we were hitting around less than 20% of the time...

I'm not sure about the regen of his stunning fist, was it 6, or 5+? I'm not really sure. It was brutally effective though, as juaberman got a few good 6's in a row.

It went about as well as could be expected of a DM learning the ropes. A few errors here and there, but not really a problem, and it was a learning experience.

The base creature actually had it as an at-will... I changed it to rechargable for you guys Very Happy though that meant that I had to up the damage output.

What should have been scary with him is trace chance. Seeing the future is creepy. @__@ But then again, zerth cenobites are always creepy, even back in 3.5...

And yes, he was meant to be particularly difficult. Though I think it had lower than normal Fort. EDIT: I'm confirming it. For a monster his level, he has really low fort. I mean, he was an old man who liked to play with time. He probably has heart problems and stuff.

Hitting less than 20% of the time? Bad luck, I think. Or maybe... he kept dodging because he can see the future...future...future...

By the way, can I have a fluff summary of what happened? From what I hear, the matrix changed something.

In particular, I'm interested in what happened with Karavakos. He was supposed to explode if you attack him, but then he'd be dead. Thus, I'm wondering what would necessitate the use of the staff to escape. And who used the staff? I wasn't aware anyone had Ritual Casting. Shocked

In any case, if you guys are in the Pyramid, you can't switch with Fagnus characters for arc2. The staff was the only way into the place.

Hmm...According to juaberman, we could use the staff to do the TP...But I don't remember anything about the mention of a ritual, or if it were mentioned, we were caught up in the rush of the moment.

It was probably a misunderstanding in the sense that we thought the rod automatically performed it as a sort of insta-cast ritual. >.>;;

So... no on the summary? Sad

Let me rephrase: Knowing, OoC, that characters in the Pyramid of Radiance will likely be stuck there for the rest of heroic tier, and knowing that if you did go in, you can't swap with other characters of the same level *coughteamfagnuscough*...

Would you prefer it if you postpone going into the Pyramid until you find someone with Ritual Casting? I mean, after Karavakos explodes, there will obviously be no threat, because, you know, he's "dead".

Okay, so that's:
*1415xp for level 6 characters
*1769xp for level 5 characters
*2123xp for level 4 characters

I will deus ex the ending such that you did not enter the pyramid yet, but otherwise all events are the same.

All right. Update your loot. All loot unaccounted for by January 23 will be assumed to vanish. All xp unaccounted for by January 23 will be assumed to have not been taken. Don't tell me you weren't warned.

In addition, arc 2 should be open for discussion. All in all, I need 4-5 RL sessions to finish it. My idea for scheduling will be after juaberman's game; set it on Mondays, and open it to any characters of level 5-7. Maximum 6 players, and as before, I do not really care if you want an all-striker team. It's your party, not mine.

As the holder of the Staff, I will have to insist that Kyris be in this game, however. As such, Revan, your schedule will take precedence here. Although note that in the event that you want me to DM it, I can only do so on a Monday. Other potential players, do talk about the possible schedule here.

If you want me to DM it, I'm fine and won't need compensation (as the abrupt cut is my fault); I do, however, need directions to the neareast budget printer shop so I can have a hard copy of my rpgnow-bought Pyramid of Shadows pdf.

Finally, another alternative will be to play via PBP. This will take four months at least, and your precious characters may be locked for awhile.

Discuss.

I'll be most definitely free by Feb 23. So any schedule would be fine with me. Very Happy

@BJ:

Mondays would be great, in fact we'd appreciate it if you could DM.

I'd propose that we split the costs of the printout, especially if we end up not paying for your DMing services. (I do want to play our higher level characters again.)

I'll get to work on Kyris' stuff. I think I'm already loot updated, the only thing not set iirc is my retraining.

Note that dark_axis isn't available until late February. Do you think we should wait that long?
