May be late. If I take an early workday at crab, I can work through it 10-4 and then run to bb's condo.

My thoughts on how the 4th Ed Demo Game went:
1. The worst-designed character among the pre-gens was the cleric. Melee Stats + Ranged Abilities = fail. And he was totally lacking one of the racial abilities of the half elf.
2. ROGUE ROCKS. My constant question was "Do I have combat advantage now?" and "Will I get combat advantage if I..." This included: picking up a rock, picking up gold, tumbling onto a dead body, distracting him with my team-mate's body... fun times. And Rogue can sneak attack everything now, hooray!
3. Most of our difficulties arose from people trying to play like it's 3.5. Phil's warlord was playing like a warblade, aka front-liner when his character is supposed to be more of a support character. The warlord pre-gen is NOT meant to charge up in front, but more like properly position himself and his allies for maximum damage. Likewise, Myke seriously overestimated the power of his wizard's spells, and ran in the wrong direction besides. "Staircase? What staircase?" 
4. It was the martial characters who survived the scenario.  This was probably due to better use of the daily, encounter, and at-will abilities - the divine guys used them earlier, in the fight vs. the zombies, and the mage got munched up by the dragon..

I think for the most part we just made a few wrong plays. That actually happens a lot in one-shot games, lol. I really think that, if we'd only changed a few of the decisions we'd made, we would have all survived.

Actually, I didn't overestimate, there were just a little confusion over some rules which made my character meet his demise a few rounds earlier. I admit, going in the wrong direction was my bad, but there was nowhere else to go except to buy time for the other characters.
P.S. Now at least we know how 4e feels like, it'll take a little getting used to but it's leaving a nice aftertaste in my mouth.

Another thing that was awesome was the fact that we played for almost 4 hours, with 3 different encounters, without even getting a full rest in between. As someone whose D&D experiences went "Ok, fights over. CAMPING TIME NOW", this is a very new thing.

I'll have to agree. I was a little skeptical about the At-Will/Encounter/Daily Power hierarchy but it works like a charm. With encounter powers prolonged periods of adventuring are now doable, even at early levels, which is really how it's supposed to play out. I mean, what kind of adventurers have to get some sleep after every four orcs they dispatch?
