they remind me of eva but they are (transformers) mecha. evas are not mecha as far as i'm concerned... they're not really made of metal but some flesh.. @.@
robot is mecha so mecha is mecha i guess... they are robots right? ^^;; made of metal, ai and powered by some sort of fuel... so there, mecha.

I would play BeSM d20, by myself if need be, if only for the chance to roleplay a giant freakin' robot. Hehe... maybe next sem.
That doesn't have much to do with Transformers *or* Evangelion, though... -___-;;

I agree that the Evangelion units are not mecha since they have flesh. I am not sure if each had their own sentience. I love that episode when the unit Shinji was using became savage and ate the enemy though i didnt understood the episode much because that was the only part i was able to watch. Got Eva collection guys? |

IMO, if they'd wanted to upgrade the robots to sleeker, modern versions.... they shoulda made Bumblebee into a Millenium Beetle instead of a Camaro.
Unfortunately, Volkswagen did not let them use the "VW Beetle" image again.

Hehe, we'll see about BESM d20. Since I can't seem to get my hands on Star Wars d20, I guess Mecha Madness will have to do. You may want to look around for the d20 Mecha Compendium. It reprints the BESM d20 mecha rules, adds some prestige classes, and best of all, gives you sample mecha and campaign settings to give you an idea of how to work with the ubercomplex mecha creation. There's a steampunk setting, another with Divine Guardians reminiscent of Escaflowne, an alternate WW1 with mecha tanks, a near-future setting of power-armor terrorism, a setting reminiscent of Macross and Robotech, and best of all, official D20 conversions of Jovian Chronicles (Gundam-style colony wars) and Heavy Gear! (Based on the wargame, ignore the frightfully cheesy CGI series)

The pics look...strange. I like the general build for Optimus, but the hot rod paint job really doesn't seem to mesh with the "John Wayne" of big mecha. Megatron looks alien, but he doesn't look like Megatron at all!?! Though I guess the label says Cybertron Megatron, so I guess there's no transformation mechanics yet.

yeah, i've been keeping an ear and eye out for info regarding comics-2-film, and as far as i can tell....Silver Surfer won't have his own movie. There will be a 2007 sequel to the Fantastic Four WITH the silver surfer, entitled: Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
there are promotional images out. i came across a few, but I didn't bookmark them.

There's 1 problem w/ the movie: it's directed by Michael Bay.
Knowing his track record, Transformers could end up looking like The Island or Bad Boys 2. One of the worst things he could do is put too much focus on the humans rather than the transformers |

we might be seeing them in action for around 5min or less.(NO!!!)
he was the one who directed pearl harbor right.....
the best part happened in a flash (as people say).... didn't watch it....

Yeah I just saw the trailer last night and its frickin' cool. I'm not gonna make any judgements yet but its still looking pretty damn awesome, I mean giant robots, explosions, how can you go wrong? (rhetorical question)
