I'm going to be in UP on thursday, playing at boy_bakal's mage. He however informs me that he's not planning a very long game, so I'm bringing Chalice stuff.
Meaning, if at least four of my players arrive, I will be DMing the Chalice on thursday. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

Okay, I'm not saying that this is the version that i will use, but just in case it comes up, this link is an excellent starting point for an Epic Warblade...
btw, requests for epic class progressions for the Chalice go here. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

Epic Warblade is good. But i think they(Dicefreaks) are still tweaking it.
Will you use the updated versions, or the one posted as of now (One with bonus feats every 3rd lvl and progresses initiator lvl)? _________________ There is happiness for those who accept their fate. There is glory for those who defy their fate

You misunderstood. I'm using that as the basis for my epic progression of the Warblade. It will more or less look like that. But that's not what I'm going to use, by the by.
Oh, and if you guys noticed, I'm not that strict about the bonus epic feats. Although, you still have to declare what you're planning to get. (And don't be surprised if wizard 24 doesn't get to take epic prowess as his bonus wizard feat.) _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

erwin, a question...
What is your character's TH? I mean, isn't he supposed to be a gish? right now, I feel like it's still in the high 20's...
Which is bad. you're supposed to be a gish. Not an uber tough run o the mill arcanist.. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

TH? it's +29..
my wraithstrike should make my enemy's AC lower, but my main problem is my low AC.. even if i hit him, he'd hit me back.. A LOT harder.. _________________ There is happiness for those who accept their fate. There is glory for those who defy their fate

you'd still have a significant chance to miss, with just a to hit modifier of +29. does your character know polymorph? try to look up some good forms that are compatible with your main combat plan. that should help you up your to hit somewhat. _________________ And I'm still, still longing. Will you please post the breakdown of your TH?
Polymorphing is the best way to increase your TH. Sun giant (13hd) from MM2 is popular. Use Draconic Polymorph for another +8 to strength and higher HD limitation. I don't remember any popular forms for DP.
Spend a feat for Giant size (SC).
Let's see.... Draconic Polymorph to Sun giant plus giant size plus bite of wear tiger
str 37
+8 DrPoly
+32 giant size
+12 bite of weretiger
+5 inherent
______
str 94
+42 str mod
-8 size penalty
20 bab
+5 weapon
______
+59 TH.
Options for increasing TH further:
Polymorph to higher str monsters.
Quickened true strike (+20)
trip them. look at your strength and size. (-4 enemy ac)
Superior invisibility (enemy FF, -2ac)
Teleport/summon to flank a monster (+2)
Custom items (DM discretion)
Epic spells (DM discretion)
Quote: | my wraithstrike should make my enemy's AC lower, but my main problem is my low AC.. even if i hit him, he'd hit me back.. A LOT harder.. |
Giant size will increase your HP (+12 con).
Polymorphing will give you hp as if you've rested for a night.
Bites increase HP.
Getting a custom life stealing item is also an option.
Mirror image effectively doubles your HP but its effects vary with your enemy.
No blinks since we are in Hell and it is not coplanar with etheareal plane.
Monk's belt could increase your ac.
Weapons defending proporty. It stacks with everything it says.
+5 defending armor spikes.
+5 defending shield spikes.
+5 defending spiked gauntlets.
Activate all = +15 to AC
ROP+5
mithral Chainshirt +5 = +9
Nat armor (sun giant+amulet)= +15*
dex = +5 (est)
size - 2
shield +5 (if possible) = 7
_____
=64
*pitfiend has the highest nat armor in core. +23 iirc. However, roleplaying may restrict you from this. Dragon's nat armor is HD-1. That's an alternative. Use shapechange to polymorph into outsiders.
You could still increase it. The highest core AC build I found is 100+. You could do better matey!

Alternative is to kill them before they kill you. If you couldn't kill them, disable them. If you couldn't disable them, go support. Remember, Limited wish can duplicate heal and revivify. You can cast celerity and use limited wish to do it. If I remember correctly, limited wish can make your next attack automatically hit. _________________ solbergb on sorcerers:

What's the stat for Sun Giant? Can someone give me a copy? I don't have MM2

What lvl is Giant size & bite of the weretiger? i don't have them in my spell's known..

+59 TH. |
my BAB can get higher since I took racial HD..

Yeah, heal as the 5th lvl spell (I saw that in DMG)..
Yup, limited wish can do that.. _________________ There is happiness for those who accept their fate. There is glory for those who defy their fate

I'm gonna try to do a write up about our last game for our absent party mates. Feel free to correct any mistakes I made:
The party arrives at Revan's new mansion. After about a week of down time (Erwin's character "milked" a cow), we acquired a permit to travel to Fierna's personal portal into Malbogle. After a few days travel and an encounter we arrived at the said portal and was faced with a fire elemental. At this point we realized that no one was carrying the permit. Mark's character used a spell to get the party back to Revan's mansion via the earth. We ran into lava on route, melted most of our stuff. Thankfully, Mark and Erwin managed to save most of our stuff. The guard won't let us in the Mansion and then Erwin tried to teleported us to the portal. We suddenly appeared in cages in Fierna's castle without any gear. Revan explained to "no teleporting" clause in the permit, apparently written in fine print. Now we are to be personnally judged by Fierna. _________________ let M = number of ninja and N = Ninjitsu Level, then N takes the general form of N = a/(bM)^c |

When did all this happen?
*Revan doesn't have a mansion.
*Erwin probably likes milk, but never took it from an actual cow
*Mark never saved Tal's stuff from getting melted by the lava.
*Revan doesn't work for Fierna.
Roleplay, people.
Don't get me wrong, though. I appreciate the summary. I just want to remind people thaT without proper RP, epic is just a standard DnD game with harder to manage stats.
So I remind my players to put aN effort to their background stories. I've always asserted that Vrahn, Kruzko, the Herald, Kellyzeah, Zyrena had their own distinct personalities. That way they weren't just "BJ's characters". They were their own persona.
Try to do the same. Trust me, it's rewarding. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

btw, next game is on November10, Saturday, 1pm-4pm. Starbucks Katipunan. Am personally going to talk with management so they don't get... surprised.
And if you don't want to go because you can't roleplay in public, then shame on you. Be proud of what you do.
This will be the start of my "once a month" Chalice game. Hopefully, by the time 4.0 gets here, Chalice is done.
So there. _________________ Nosfecatu Publishing |

If I ain't mistaken, that would be in the vicinity of Jollibee and Shakey's, front of and near ADMU main entrance gate. Of course, my memory could be a bit rusty (it being only 2GB when there's 4GB available)... _________________ A little surprising, really...
